Engineer to Designer

Breaking into Tech

From the time I was little, I had 3 major passions in life: medicine, art, and nature. After I graduated college, I taught myself frontend development. I loved that this avenue would provided me a gateway to combine my love of medicine and artistry into one with website design, so I accepted a full-time position as a frontend developer at a Fortune 500 company (Comcast).

Discovering Design

While working at Comcast, I was introduced to the design team. Seeing as though I had just recently broke into tech at this point, I had not known that being a UX Designer was an option. I fell in love with the position and set off on yet another journey to teach myself how to become a UX/UI Designer. Over the past two years, I have been able to combine medicine and artistry by making medicine more accessible to the public. As for the nature component? I moved to Washington to be a part of it every day.
